I love this age. I’m
getting so much love back from my baby it makes all the hard work worth
it. Jacob is so entertaining he cracks
me up every day. When I put him in the
exersaucer at work, he puts his arms up and rocks the thing so hard I'm certain he’s trying to tip it over. And
he Loves looking at himself. I have a
bunch of videos and photos of him in my phone and if I ever need to divert his
attention, I just turn on a video and he watches proudly and giggles at
himself. He’s holding his own bottle now
and he sprouted two bottom teeth. His
favorite foods are yogurt and carrots, which is awesome, because I love it when
babies get the little orange nose. But,
he pretty much eats anything I give him.
I love the personality he is developing, too. He’s so silly and gentle and sweet. Sometimes when I cradle him with his bottle,
he reaches up to get my hair, but he doesn’t pull it. He just examines my hair and face with his
tiny fingers. He’s doing the army crawl
to get around now. He always goes
straight for the stereo receiver and for some reason he loves cords. Last week we had our first Thanksgiving. It was awesome to see how happy he was with
the family; everyone loves him. He has gotten
pretty tight with puppy, too. She brings
him her toys hoping he will throw them.
It’s a disturbing sight to walk into a room and find your baby on the
floor chewing on a dirty dog toy. But, I
throw the toy and he laughs every time she brings it back. He’s going to be staying with the babysitter
a couple hours this month so I can get out and do some social things for the
holidays. Hopefully I can have a good time without my little sidekick. I'll be thinking of him the entire time.
